Evan Solomon

One of Canada’s most experienced multi-platform journalists, Evan Solomon has spent his decades-long career interviewing the most influential powerbrokers and political players and covering the biggest stories in business, innovation, technology, and society — in Canada and around the world. He brings his years of insight culled from the trenches of journalism to every stage as a gifted speaker, moderator, host, and on-stage interviewer.

Today, Solomon is the publisher of GZERO Media and a member of the Eurasia Group management committee, where he spearheads their ambitious programming and platform goals. Prior to this, he was the host of some Canada’s most popular national television news programs, including CTV’s Power Play and Question Period; CBC’s award-winning Power & Politics with Evan Solomon, CBC News: Sunday, and CBC News: Sunday Night.  

In addition, Solomon was the host of BellMedia/iHeart Radio’s daily two-hour radio program, The Evan Solomon Show; the executive producer and host of the Sirius XM radio program, Everything is Political; host of both Futureworld and Hot Type; and the host and producer of The Change Makers, along with a series for PBS called Masters of Technology. He was also a columnist for Maclean’s and the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Shift magazine.

A bestselling author, Solomon’s books include Fueling the Future: How the Battle Over Energy Is Changing Everything, which was nominated for the National Business Book Award and the National Science Book of the Year, and Feeding the Future: From Fat to Famine, How to Solve the World’s Food Crisis. Both books were re-released as Food and Fuel. He has also written the bestselling novel, Crossing the Distance, and two children’s books.
